Title: Heavy Rain: The Casting

Description: Quantic Dream's virtual actor real-time "tech demo" for the PS3, shown at E3 this year. The graphics aren't particularly extraordinary (the demo was apparently an in-house demo that they rushed out for E3 at Sony's request), but I'm excited by Quantic Dream's emphasis on the expressive/dramatic aspects of gameplay. I just played through their most recent game, Indigo Prophecy (known as Fahrenheit outside of the US). The adventure game genre isn't as active as it used to be (remember all those old Infocom, Sierra, and LucasArts games?), but it's great to see that it's still alive and studios like Quantic Dream and Funcom (The Longest Journey, Dreamfall) are still innovating and raising the bar.
